Norm will share what he has learned and experienced as a senior executive, involved in the career growth of mid and senior level managers. Tips will be given as to how to stand out from the pack, and to be regarded as a key person in the organization who can execute.About the Speaker: Norm Desmarais is presently Vice President of Leadership Development for DRS S&TS. He has responsibility for designing and managing all high talent management and coaching programs. Prior to this, Norm was Vice President of Operations at DRS during its highest growth years; revenue grew from 15 million to 285 million dollars, with an employee growth from 100 –1000. He reports to the Vice President General Manager of DRS S&TS. DRS S&TS is a full-service, vertically integrated electro-optical systems company with manufacturing and engineering capabilities as well as field product support. Norm has also worked for Raytheon, Honeywell, and Lockheed Martin where he held senior level positions in Planning, Materials, Supply Chain Management, and Operations. Before moving to Florida, Norm was an Adjunct Professor at Northeastern University in Boston for 11 years. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at Webster University. He is also President of his own company “Executive Success Connection”, specializing in Business and Executive Coaching. Norm holds a Masters degree in Applied Management from Lesley University, B.S. degree in Industrial Technology from Roger Williams University, and an Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering also from Roger Williams University. He is a Certified Procurement Manager and a Certified Master Executive Coach. Florida Today, recently recognized Norm for his leadership in designing and leading, a highly successful 24-month High Talent employee Professional Development Program. |
