Phil Burroughs
Harris Corporation is an international communications equipment company focused on providing product, system and service solutions for Commercial and Government customers. As an Operational Excellence Leader for Harris’ Government Communications Systems Division (GCSD), Phil is responsible for Lean/Six Sigma practices, Developmental Training and Simulation activities throughout the division and in support of other Harris enterprises Worldwide. Phil has over thirty years of industry experience in Engineering, Quality, Advanced Manufacturing and International Operations. Phil joined Harris in 1985, and has served in various roles at Corporate Headquarters, GE-Harris Joint Ventures and the Government Communications Systems Division. In his capacity as an Operational Excellence Leader Phil has served as the Champion for the Lean Aerospace Initiative (LAI), an Academic, Government and Industry Consortium. Prior to joining Harris, Phil held technical leadership positions with the Motorola Communications Sector. Phil received his BSIE from Auburn University and subsequently earned his MBA. Phil served for 24 years in active/reserve capacities before retiring from the U.S. Navy. |
